Make the engineering problem visible
Dense powertrain assemblies are difficult to understand from isolated parts. Shafts, gears, synchronizers, housings, and interfaces must be organized so motion, interference, service, and documentation questions can be reviewed as a system.
Approach
Structure the work around decisions
- Develop an assembly hierarchy around functional groups and rotational axes.
- Model component relationships and packaging with clear references.
- Use exploded and isolated views to communicate internal architecture.
- Prepare the assembly for interference checks, visual review, and drawing work.
A coherent assembly model shortens technical discussion because reviewers can inspect the same configuration, isolate interfaces, and trace proposed changes through the mechanism.
