The challenge
Make the engineering problem visible
Pushrod suspensions compress several moving links, pivots, springs, dampers, steering clearance, and wheel interfaces into a limited envelope. Small layout changes can affect motion ratios and interference.
Approach
Structure the work around decisions
- Establish wheel, chassis, and suspension reference geometry.
- Develop the linkage and bell-crank relationships as an assembly.
- Check representative motion and packaging through the expected travel.
- Organize parts for iteration, exploded review, and prototype planning.
The assembly model creates a clear environment for geometry changes and exposes the physical questions that should be verified in prototype testing.
Portfolio note
The spotlight communicates mechanism-design scope; detailed dynamic performance depends on inputs and testing not shown in the supplied portfolio.
